When asked what is my favorite flower it is Grape Hyacinth. It is the blue.
Rosemary provides a blue backdrop to the regal couple beside the tree.

- My name is Laura and I live on Black Mountain, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. I garden in the highly alkaline soils of the windy foothills of Black Mountain. My garden is 3 years old, and began as a blank canvas of poor dirt surrounded by a 6 foot high cinder block wall. I grew up in Missouri, which is where I got my farmgirl ways, and I am waiting for my husband to take to me to live where there is black dirt, where I'll be set free and he can go fishing.

ReplyDeleteGrape hyacinths are dear to my heart too -- I remember picking them wild as a child to give to my Mom. I found a perfume named "bluebells" years ago that comes pretty close to their fragrance. I love seeing all the blue and purple photos of yours!
